Christabella Lilliana Cargill and Coach Kevin Tiess first crossed paths through the island’s small gymnastics community. As Christabella’s passion for the sport deepened, her family began seeking a more personalized and supportive training experience — one that could nurture her potential in a safe, focused and progress-oriented environment.
With no other suitable options nearby, her parents reached out to Coach Kevin to see if he’d be open to offering private lessons at their home. Kevin, honored by their trust and excited to support Christabella’s growth, eagerly agreed.
What began as a simple arrangement to maintain Christabella’s skills soon evolved into something greater. The connection between coach and gymnast — rooted in trust, commitment, and shared joy — became the seed for a bigger vision: a place where keiki could grow strong in both body and spirit.
As word spread about the private sessions, more and more families reached out, eager to have their children experience the same thoughtful, expert coaching.
CLC also stands for Creating Life-Long Champions — a reflection of our mission to offer high-quality gymnastics training that supports each child’s physical development, emotional confidence and love for movement.
What started with one gymnast and one coach has grown into a vibrant community — and we’re just getting started.
Today, we’re proud to offer classes in two locations — Kapaa and Poipu — serving keiki and families across the island. As we continue to grow, our next exciting step is to move into a permanent building, where we can expand our offerings and create a lasting home for CLC’s Gymnastics Academy.
Mahalo for being part of our journey — we can’t wait to flip into the future with you!
